http://matchhistory.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/EUN1/1096243630/40366947?tab=overview
In this match, we were three players from start. Draven's premade buddy said that Draven couldn't play due to parent issues, while Lee didn't even show up on load screen.
The three of us decided to wait at fountain and tell our opponents to push mid and end quickly. All five of them agreed, in other words, 100% of the players agreed that it was the best thing to do.
Still we get punished by leaverbuster, even though no reports were handed out (except for Draven and Lee) and nobody behaved toxic in any way.

Also, the leaverbuster FAQ
https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752714-LeaverBuster-FAQ?flash_digest=6f72d6c245caffb61796654f3e2058f65ebdf08b
doesn't say a thing about this subject, which is a huge flaw from Riot's side

What is LeaverBuster?

LeaverBuster is a system we have implemented in order to discourage Summoners from repeatedly leaving matches and/or idling during gameplay. Summoners who exhibit this behavior and have a trend of leaving/idling in games will be placed in a low priority queue.

Leaverbuster is automatic and doesn't need reports to catch someone. It even catches people for derping or idling in the base. If you idle, regardless if everybody agrees or not, you will be catched and punished as it's not allowed since it in almost every case ruins a game rather than having everybody agree.

Yes, but if someone AFK for an entire game without recieving a single report out of 9 possible, then he has most likely done nothing wrong.
IMO it should require at least one report to be punished, that would prevent situations like this.

Riot don't want people to think idling or leaving is alright, that's why they have it be automatic. If someone idle's the last 2 minutes of a game it's possible their teammates don't even notice but it could have been that player that cost them the game.

You don't get punished, dropped into the lower priority queue, for just one leave. Afaik, that's the only punishment LeaverBuster gives out. You may have been alerted to how leaving games is not okay, with the agree-prompt. That's an alert, not a punishment.

While in your situation you probably shouldn't be punished, in other situations it wouldn't work. The automated system doesn't discriminate, doesn't forget, doesn't hurry to the next game, and doesn't get distracted, unlike players.

If we assume there's a 50% chance of anyone on the enemy team reporting the leaver (because they won and don't care), and there's a 50% chance for each of his teammates that they'll report him, 3% of games with a leaver will have the leaver escape without reports. That's not good, because that'll delay the punishments of many more leavers. There's a million players just in EUNE's ranked. That's a lot of players, a lot of games, and a lot of leavers.

Being able to end games where a player doesn't connect would resolve some of these situations. Being able to surrender early if a player has been confirmed to have been absent from the game for a significant amount of time would resolve some, too. Those are better solutions, imo.

We had terrible net yesterday, when the 2 of us wanted to play together (just aram games) the ping would jumping in the range of 50-1400. Before that it was tested in a custom game and all was fine. Then I played alone, the ping was still jumping a bit, but was managable and not that bad, no dc and playable game. The next time the 2 of us tried it again, same issue as the first time. We god DCed like 2 times. Naturally no more games for us last night, and today we will have to be cautious as well. But got no messages after those 2 games.

It can happen that you disconnect, for any kind of reason, that's why Riot is not punishing right away.
Maybe make it possible to surrender at 10 if one or 2 or more players have been disconnected the entire time.

Also you can't know if they got in low priority queue or not. You can't know if it was the first time or second, or has been happening multiple times. And saying I am getting punished while they run free, you can't know that at one point they are not getting cought.

Have you idled, derped around in the fountain, or otherwise avoiding actually playing while in-game?

Have you had connection problems recently?
