Small gestures like this are great, because even if you know it's an automated system, someone at some point thought about it and thought it would be nice to give players something like this. The problem is that it's rather unfair to players who've been in the game for a longer time and had multiple birthdays, and it would need some system to make sure people don't go around having a new birthday every week.

It's doable, and not a bad idea (happy customers are recurring customers), but it's a lot more work than you'd think.

It would be nice to have some kind of apperciation for playing a long time. It doesn't have to be RP, it can be summoner icon or badge or something like that. Something symbolic. It would be also nice to have something similar for certain number of played/won games, you know, like after playing your 1000th game you get an icon or badge marking you as veteran. I belive such step might encourage people to play more on their main account and making less smurfs, if you are rewarded for playing on one account.
