as far as I tried - you can't play LoL at Ubuntu/Linux wine emulation.

i didnt install ace client,i skipped that but i did rest
if you cant install ie6 you need to install then winetricks
go in terminal and type

wget http://winetricks.org/winetricks

once you've downloaded your own copy of winetricks, you can install it like this:

chmod +x winetricks
sudo mv winetricks /usr/local/bin

after that is done type

env WINE=~/wine-git/wine winetricks ie7

if it still doesnt work try going in synaptic and install ntlm_auth
