Hey everyone i've just got a question about getting in there, i'm diamond division 1 with 99 LP,i won already 6 games with me having 99LP and i always obtained 0 points for win,i would understand that if challenger tier would be full, but it wasn't this evening. I thought i can't get into promotion when challenger is full, but obviously you can since currently there are 48 challengers and 6 people are in promotion into it

my ranked stats are 185 won games 73 lost makes it 71,7% win ratio

2136 kills 1156 deaths , i'm deffinetly not getting carried in games (i usually).

Anyone care to explain please ?

well most likely its your MMR( matchmaking Ratio) since you won 6 games and you received 0 lp , i m guessing that your mmr is low and the system thinks you are not good enough for the Challenger tier

The only thing you can do in this situation is keep playing so that your mmr gets higher , that's the only way to advance , at least according to riot

Best of luck in getting in challenger tier , i have a looooooooooooong way to climb , to even get to the division you are right now , let allow think about getting into challenger tier:PP

You could always look up the rules (Google is magical).

Dude... He is getting 0 points. Shouldn't he atleast get one? To me this seems very strange. Even if the Challenger was full shouldn't he just get in and drop the lowest one out?

It's not about MMR, no one in challanger tier has higher win ratio than me...so it's not about that - anyways some people lost promotions to challenger - 48 spots in chal are still open , played 2 games so 8 in total with + 0 LP

I think I know what the problem is. When someone gets into Challenger tier there is a grace period in which they cannot fall in Diamond I again. So, I suppose the last person in this tier is in this grace period right now and no new players can join Challenger until it is over. (It is only my assumption)

Basically your hidden MMR is connected to your LP. The system, for the challenger tier, has to deem two things. Initially that your MMR is enough so that you can join the challenger tier and secondly that you are a better player then one of the lowest in the existing challenger tier because in challenger tier, when someone is promoted then someone else from Challenger is dropped to Diamond 1.

Wait... Isn't grace period around 5 games? And you can be 4 (or something along those lines) weeks without playing so your elo doesn't drop, right?
...It kinda sounds like you can effectively block challenger tier for almost 5 months by getting there, and then playing (and losing) only once/4 weeks, effectively blocking last place with your grace period.
Hope im wrong, but can anyone clarify this?

What you said applies for rest of tiers, challenger is different, the grace period here is I believe 2 days, once someone gets higher MMR you are replaced.
